Emily Bergl
Emily Bergl is a talented actress born in Milton Keynes, England, to an Irish mother and an English architect father. Her family relocated to Chicago during her childhood, resulting in her American accent. She honed her theatrical skills at Glenbrook South High School and later at Grinnell College, where she earned a B.A. in English and Theater, graduating Phi Beta Kappa in 1997. Emily also has a brother.
Bergl's career took off when she starred as Rachel Lang in the 1999 horror film The Rage: Carrie 2, a sequel to the iconic 1976 film Carrie. She has made notable television appearances across various popular series, including Gilmore Girls, CSI: Miami, Medium, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, NYPD Blue, and Star Trek: Enterprise. Additionally, she showcased her talent in the psychological thriller Chasing Sleep alongside Jeff Daniels.
One of her prominent roles was in the 2002 miniseries Taken, produced by Steven Spielberg. She also gained recognition for her co-starring role as Annie in the ABC series Men in Trees, where her character followed relationship expert Marin Frist, leading to unexpected adventures in Elmo, Alaska.
In 2009, Bergl starred in the play Becky Shaw at New York's Second Stage Theatre. Since 2010, she has captivated audiences with her cabaret show Kidding on the Square, which has been performed in Los Angeles, New York, and Chicago. Recently, she appeared as Beth, the new wife of Paul Young, in the seventh season of Desperate Housewives.
