Moon Jeong-suk

Moon Jeong-suk, born in 1927 in Sonchon, which is now part of North Korea, embarked on her artistic journey after graduating from an all-girls high school in 1947. She initially made her mark in the performing arts as a theater actress, showcasing her talent on stage. In 1952, she transitioned into film with her debut in the movie "악야" (The Evil Night), directed by the renowned Shin Sang-ok.

Throughout her career, Moon Jeong-suk became a prominent figure in the South Korean film industry, recognized for her versatile acting skills and compelling performances. Her work during the 1950s and 1960s contributed significantly to the evolution of Korean cinema, as she starred in various notable films that captivated audiences and garnered critical acclaim.
