Steven Culp
Steven Culp is an accomplished actor celebrated for his diverse roles across television and film. He gained significant recognition for his portrayal of Robert F. Kennedy in the historical drama "Thirteen Days" (2000) and for his memorable character, CIA Agent Clayton Webb, in the military drama "JAG" (1995). Culp also captivated audiences as Rex Van de Kamp in the hit series "Desperate Housewives" (2004), where, despite being killed off in the first season, he made appearances in subsequent seasons, except for the fourth and sixth.
During the 2003-04 television season, Culp showcased his versatility by balancing recurring roles in an impressive four series. He appeared as GOP Speaker of the House Jeff Haffley on NBC's "The West Wing" (1999), schoolteacher Dave Spencer on the acclaimed medical drama "ER" (1994), and Major Hayes, a MACO commander, on "Star Trek: Enterprise" (2001). He also had guest appearances on "The Lyon's Den" (2003) and "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" (2000). Interestingly, Culp faced the rare situation of having two characters—Webb and Major Hayes—written off in season finales during the same week, although Webb returned in the following season's premiere.
In 2013, he took on the role of Edward Truman, a poised authority figure, in NBC's post-apocalyptic series "Revolution" (2012). Culp has been happily married to Barbara Ayers since September 29, 1990, and together they have two children.
