Grahame Bond

Grahame Bond, born on November 21, 1943, is a prominent Australian comic actor, writer, presenter, and composer, best remembered for his iconic character, Aunty Jack. Initially pursuing a degree in architecture at Sydney University, he developed his comedic talents through university revues before completing his studies in 1967. Following his graduation, Bond worked as a jingle writer for commercials, honing his skills in catchy melodies and humor.

His breakthrough came when he introduced the beloved character Aunty Jack, inspired by the Goons, on an ABC children's radio program. This character gained further popularity when it appeared on The Comedy Game in 1971 and subsequently headlined The Aunty Jack Show, which premiered in 1972 and quickly became a cultural phenomenon in Australia.

In the 1990s, Bond expanded his television presence by hosting the Channel Seven game show Whose House is it Anyway? He also made a significant impact as a presenter on the well-known lifestyle program Better Homes and Gardens, where he worked for six years, showcasing his versatility beyond comedy.
