Eriberto Lopez, known affectionately as Bert, was born in Laredo, Texas, but spent his formative years in San Antonio, Texas. As the middle child in a vibrant family of five brothers and two sisters, Bert's passion for the arts blossomed during his high school years. He began acting and took the initiative to direct and produce his own short films while still in school.

At 18, while employed at a furniture store, Bert met Ruben Rodriguez, a fellow dreamer who shared his aspirations in filmmaking. Their collaboration would not take flight until they reached their thirties, leading to their first joint project, which they entered in the 48 Hour Film Festival. Bert's partnership with Rodriguez resulted in several more films, where he frequently took on lead roles.

Beyond film, Bert has made significant contributions to the theatrical community at his church in San Antonio, serving as both an assistant producer and director for large-scale productions featuring casts of 30 to 60 actors. His filmography includes notable works such as "From Charlie" (2010), "The Best Gift" (2012), and "My Westside" (2013). His first feature film, "Undercover Santa," was released between 2015 and 2016. He also collaborated with director Felicia Villareal on the film "AVER" in 2017 and took on a producer role for the UCLA Film Festival in 2018, solidifying his presence in the industry.
