Dragomir Mrsic
Dragomir Mrsic, known as Gago, was born on October 2, 1969, in Rasavci, near Prijedor, Bosnia and Herzegovina, then part of Yugoslavia. At just six weeks old, he relocated to Sweden with his mother and two older siblings, as his father had secured work in Stockholm. Growing up in Fittja, a suburb south of the city, Mrsic faced a tumultuous childhood, marked by family struggles, including his father's alcoholism and the tragic loss of his siblings to drug-related issues.
An avid martial artist, Dragomir trained in Taekwondo from a young age, earning a black belt and becoming the Nordic Champion by 1987. However, in 1990, he was implicated in a bank robbery, leading to a prison sentence of three and a half years, during which he explored Buddhism. Upon his release, he pursued sports management, eventually becoming a prominent sports consultant and a leading trainer for the Swedish Olympic Committee from 2000 to 2004.
Mrsic transitioned into acting, gaining significant recognition for his role as Mrado in the acclaimed film "Easy Money" (2010). He further appeared alongside Tom Cruise in "Edge of Tomorrow" (2014) and lent his voice and likeness to the character Dragan in the video game "Payday 2." His gym, "Extreme Training," has attracted high-profile clients, including tennis legend Martina Navratilova.
In his personal life, Mrsic has been in a long-term relationship with fitness coach Isabel Alonso since 1992, and together, they have two children. He also participated in the reality series "Stjärnorna på slottet" during the 2019-2020 seasons.
