Gastón Solnicki

Gastón Solnicki, born in 1978, is a notable Argentine filmmaker and producer renowned for his innovative approach to cinema. He honed his craft at the International Center of Photography before earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film from the prestigious Tisch School of the Arts at New York University.

Solnicki made his directorial debut with the feature film SÜDEN in 2008, marking the beginning of a promising career. His subsequent film, PAPIROSEN, premiered at the Locarno Film Festival in 2011, where it garnered significant acclaim, including the Best Film Award at the Buenos Aires International Festival of Independent Cinema (BAFICI). Additionally, PAPIROSEN was recognized as a “Critics’ Pick” by The New York Times upon its release in New York, further solidifying its impact on the international film landscape.
