Erdal Tosun

Erdal Tosun, 9 April 1963 in Istanbul, was a prominent actor in cinema, theater, and television. He was born into a family deeply rooted in the performing arts, being the son of the celebrated Yeşilçam actor Necdet Tosun, and his brother, Gürdal Tosun, also pursued a career in acting.

Tosun completed his education at Beyoğlu Fındıklı High School in 1980 and made his film debut in 1981 with the movie "Mine." He later graduated from the State Conservatory of Mimar Sinan University, which laid the foundation for his theatrical career. Following his graduation, he established Özel Tiyatro and began performing with the Antalya State Theatre.

In a notable turn in his career, he starred in Murathan Mungan's "Mezopotamya Üçlemesi" before leaving his position at the State Theatres to join the BKM Players. Throughout his career, Tosun appeared in various films and television series. He is particularly remembered for his role as "Medeni Karpuz" in the film "Yarım Elma," where his iconic line, "Kıroyum ama para bende," resonated with audiences.
