Boris Bokir

Boris Thompson Manullang, widely known as Boris Bokir, was born on May 25, 1988. He is an accomplished Indonesian stand-up comedian, actor, and presenter, proudly representing his Batak heritage. Boris first emerged on the comedy scene in 2011 when he became a member of the Stand Up Indo Bandung community, performing regularly in cafes and on university campuses across Bandung.

His talent was further showcased when he participated in the Street Comedy competition in Depok, where he achieved an impressive second-place finish. This success set the stage for his breakthrough moment the following year. In 2012, Boris auditioned for the highly regarded Stand Up Comedy Indonesia on Kompas TV, making history as the first contestant of Batak descent to reach the finals. His skill and charisma earned him a spot among the top 13 finalists, and he ultimately finished in the top seven.

Boris Bokir has since continued to grow his career, taking on various roles in acting and presenting, while remaining a beloved figure in the Indonesian comedy scene. His contributions not only highlight his personal achievements but also bring visibility to Batak culture within the entertainment industry.
