Eva Pope

Eva Rebecca Pope, born on November 16, 1967, in Appley Bridge, Wigan, Lancashire, is a distinguished English actress celebrated for her compelling performances in both television and theatre. She honed her craft at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art, where she graduated in 1988.

Pope first captured attention with her role as the antagonistic Tanya Pooley in the iconic ITV soap opera Coronation Street, where she showcased her talent from 1993 to 1994. Her impressive acting repertoire includes notable guest appearances in series such as Cold Feet, The Bill, and Heartbeat, along with roles in Peak Practice, Holby City, and Casualty. A pivotal moment in her career came when she starred as Rachel Mason, the headteacher in the BBC One drama Waterloo Road, from November 2007 until July 2010.

In addition to her television work, Eva has made significant contributions to theatre, appearing in productions like The Comedy of Errors, Turkey Time, and Hobson's Choice.
