Uttara Baokar was a distinguished Indian actress recognized for her impactful contributions to stage, film, and television. With a versatile talent, she brought a range of characters to life in acclaimed theatrical productions. Among her notable performances, she portrayed the iconic Padmavati in 'Mukyhamantri', the poignant Mena in 'Mena Gurjari', and the tragic Desdemona in Shakespeare's 'Othello'. She also took on significant roles such as the mother in Girish Karnad's 'Tughlaq', the nautch girl in 'Chhote Saiyad Bade Saiyad', and starred as Umrao in 'Umrao Jaan', showcasing her depth as an actress.
