Don Simpson

Donald Clarence "Don" Simpson (October 29, 1943 – January 19, 1996) was a prominent American film producer, screenwriter, and actor, renowned for his significant contributions to the film industry. Teaming up with Jerry Bruckheimer, Simpson co-produced a string of blockbuster films that redefined mainstream cinema. Their collaboration yielded iconic titles such as *Flashdance* (1983), *Beverly Hills Cop* (1984), *Top Gun* (1986), and *The Rock* (1996), which collectively grossed over $3 billion at the box office.
