Steve Pacaud
Steve Pacaud, a native of Thompson, Manitoba, began his journey in media during high school, where he immersed himself in the local cable station operated by Videon Cable. His early experiences included filming and editing broadcasts of City Council meetings, School Board sessions, and local hockey games. This foundation led to the creation of a unique video show titled "Video Noize," featuring two hosts energetically head banging on a couch while bootlegged punk music played in the background.
Recognizing his talent, the cable director enrolled Steve in a production course at Native Communications Incorporated (NCI). There, he honed his skills in video production, contributing to projects like Crime Stoppers videos and a news piece on Viking Helicopters, which were actively involved in battling regional forest fires during a particularly challenging summer.
In addition to video work, Steve served as an assistant DJ at NCI's radio channel, where he showcased his creativity through character voices and comedy writing, broadcasting early morning shows on CBC television.
By 1994, Steve had relocated to Seattle, where he connected with a local comedy troupe working on the television show "Almost Live!" His contributions included writing, acting, and editing skits for the program.
After returning to Winnipeg in 1995, Steve embarked on a professional career in the media industry. In 2017, he re-ignited his passion for acting, participating in numerous projects filmed in the Winnipeg area, further solidifying his presence in the entertainment landscape.
