Ashley Dyke

Ashley Dyke is an accomplished actress renowned for her compelling performances, particularly as Anna in Steve McQueen's critically acclaimed film "12 Years A Slave," which won the Academy Award for Best Picture. She also portrayed Stacey in John Krasinski's "The Hollars." Born in Fairfax, Virginia, Ashley hails from a distinguished family; her father, the Honorable James W. Dyke, Jr., made history as the first African-American Secretary of Education in Virginia, while her mother, Ellen Dyke, is of Jewish heritage and has roots in Hungary and Poland.

Raised in a household that emphasized education and achievement, Ashley thrived at Fairfax High School, excelling in student government and earning recognition as an All-American athlete. She pursued her passion for the performing arts at the University of Virginia, where she earned a degree in theater. Additionally, her training at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts provided her with valuable experience, including a recurring role in the campus show "Stratagem" and various stage productions, such as "The Vagina Monologues."

After relocating to Los Angeles, Ashley quickly established herself in both theater and television. Her impressive resume includes guest appearances on popular shows like CBS's "The Crazy Ones," HBO's "Hello Ladies," and "CSI: NY."
