Harry Macqueen
Harry Macqueen is a talented English actor, writer, and director, who honed his craft at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London. He made his mark in the film industry with his debut role as John Willard, a Broadway star from the 1930s, in Richard Linklater's 2008 movie "Me and Orson Welles." Macqueen's television credits include his portrayal of Jed Quinn on the popular soap opera "EastEnders," and he gained further recognition for his role as Peter in the film "Provenance," which earned him the Best Supporting Actor award at the 2017 Madrid Film Festival.
Macqueen's directorial debut, "Hinterland," showcased his skills as both a writer and director. The film garnered significant acclaim, receiving a nomination for Best British Feature at the 2014 Raindance Film Festival and competing in three categories at the 2015 Beijing International Film Festival, including Best Debut Film. Notably, "Hinterland" was recognized as the UK's first fully carbon-neutral feature film.
Following this success, his second feature, "Supernova," featured acclaimed actors Colin Firth and Stanley Tucci. It premiered at the San Sebastian Film Festival in 2020 and was one of a select few films showcased at the 2020 London Film Festival. "Supernova" received critical praise and was long-listed for two BAFTA Awards, including Outstanding British Film, and short-listed for Best Feature Film at the European Film Awards.
