Nora Angela Zehetner, born on February 5, 1981, in El Paso, Texas, is an acclaimed American actress known for her work in both film and television. She is the daughter of Nancy Lynne (née Nelson) and John Carol Zehetner. Nora's early education took place in Richardson, Texas, a Dallas suburb, before she returned to El Paso. At the age of 14, she moved to Dallas and completed her studies at McKinney High School. Additionally, she spent a year at the Texas Academy of Mathematics and Science, an early college program for gifted students.

Nora's passion for acting ignited when she was just 8 years old, leading her to embark on a professional career at 18 by relocating to Los Angeles. Her filmography includes roles in notable projects such as Tart (2001), American Pie 2 (2001), R.S.V.P. (2002), May (2002), and The Song of Rose (2003). She gained recognition for her portrayal of Laynie Hart on the WB series Everwood and played the femme fatale Laura in the critically acclaimed film Brick, which earned the Special Jury Prize at the 2005 Sundance Film Festival.

Further establishing her reputation, Nora starred as Eden McCain in NBC's Heroes, earning praise from Zap2It.com as one of "The Underrated of 2006." She had a significant recurring role as Dr. Reed Adamson in Grey's Anatomy during its sixth season and appeared as Valeria Poriskova in the second season of ABC's Designated Survivor.
