Mikio Narita
Mikio Narita (成田三樹夫, Narita Mikio; January 31, 1935 – April 9, 1990) was a prominent Japanese actor celebrated for his portrayal of villains on screen. A graduate of the Haiyuza Theatre Company acting school, Narita began his film career in 1963 with his debut in *Kōkō Sannensei*. His talent for embodying menacing characters quickly garnered him recognition, leading to a prolific career.
In 1971, Narita made the decision to leave Daiei Film and embrace a freelance pathway, which allowed him to become a staple in numerous yakuza films produced by Toei Company. He is particularly well-regarded in Japan for his role in the popular television series *Tantei Monogatari*, as well as his memorable contributions to the *Battles Without Honor and Humanity* film series. Additionally, he gained fame for his portrayal of a notable antagonist in the third season of *Mito Kōmon*.
Tragically, Narita's life was cut short when he succumbed to linitis plastica on April 9, 1990. His final appearance on screen was in the 1990 film *Jipangu*, leaving a lasting legacy within the realms of Japanese cinema.
