Christopher Collet, born on March 13, 1968, is a notable American actor recognized primarily for his role as Jake Livingston in the 1984 film Firstborn and his leading performance in the 1986 movie The Manhattan Project.
Hailing from New York City, Collet grew up with a younger sister named Jennifer, who has not pursued a career in acting. As a teenager, he set his sights on a career in entertainment and secured an agent to help him navigate the industry. His acting debut came in 1983 with the independent horror film Sleepaway Camp, where he portrayed the character "Paul." Collet maintained a friendship with co-star Jonathan Tiersten, and the two often auditioned for various projects, facing numerous rejections before gaining traction.
His breakthrough role arrived when he played Neil Oxley in a 1984 CBS after-school special entitled Welcome Home Jellybean.
