Nic Prior

Nic Prior is a talented actor and performance artist currently honing their craft at the California Institute of the Arts (CalArts) in Los Angeles. Since childhood, Nic has immersed themselves in the performing arts, developing a broad and varied artistic repertoire.

Nic's training encompasses a wide array of performance styles, including contemporary and devised performance, Suzuki Actor Training, Viewpoints, Absurdist Theatre, Brecht's Epic Theatre, Shakespearean works, and Butoh. They are on track to receive their Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting from CalArts, with graduation set for 2020.

Throughout their career, Nic has participated in numerous theatrical productions across Australia and the United States. Their notable roles include the Artist in Coleman Grehan's one-person Butoh piece, *Portrait of a Young Man*, The Players in *Hamlet* directed by Scarlett Kim, Achilles in *Our Iliad* under Jessica Hanna, and the Boy in *The Persistence of Men on Me*, also directed by Coleman Grehan. Their performance in the latter earned them the Best New Talent award at the 2016 Short+Sweet Festival Gala Finals in Brisbane, Australia. Additionally, Nic recently collaborated with the acclaimed theater company Gob Squad in the Los Angeles premiere of *Creation (Pictures for Dorian)* at REDCAT, further showcasing their versatility and dedication to the performing arts.
