Cait Cortelyou

Cait Cortelyou, originally from Madison, Wisconsin, has made New York City her home for the past twelve years. She has made a significant mark in the independent film scene, most notably starring alongside Emmy Award nominee Alison Wright in the feature film *Ask for Jane*. Her impressive film credits also include portraying Nurse Monk in an unforgettable death scene on Steven Soderbergh's acclaimed series *The Knick*, sharing the screen with Clive Owen, and playing a murder-suspected seamstress on the legal drama *Bull* opposite Michael Weatherly.

In the realm of theater, Cait’s standout role has been as Maeve, the zombie slayer in the NYIT award-winning production *R & J & Z*, a creative twist on Shakespeare’s classic. She also captivated audiences during her five-month engagement at Gallow Green, where she portrayed Diana in the immersive experience *Sleep No More*. Her theatrical journey has taken her to esteemed venues such as La MaMa, the O’Neill, the New Ohio, and 59E59, showcasing her versatility across various platforms.

Cait is an active member of SAG-AFTRA, Actor's Equity Association, and The New York Women in Film & Television, as well as a dedicated participant in the theatre collective The Shelter. Additionally, she is a long-time advocate for Planned Parenthood. Currently, Cait resides in Manhattan with her beloved cat, Stevens.
