Katey Hoffman
Katey Hoffman is a distinguished playwright, performer, improv artist, and screenwriter, celebrated for her significant contributions to the arts. She co-authored several notable plays, including the much-lauded THE AFTER AFTER PARTY, which garnered Vancouver's Pick-of-the-Fringe award and received a nomination for a Jessie Richardson Award. Her coming-of-age comedy, GREEN LAKE, produced by Solo Collective, earned six nominations at the Jessie Richardson Awards, highlighting its exceptional quality, including a nod for Outstanding Production.
In addition to her work in theater, Katey is the co-creator of LADY PARTS, a successful touring sketch comedy show that features the most talented female-identified performers from each host city. Her screenplay for the feature film SAINT JOAN’S SEVEN was recognized at the TIFF 2018 Pitch This! competition, demonstrating her skill in crafting engaging narratives. Currently, she is working on a second feature film as part of the Telefilm development program.
Katey is also developing a half-hour comedy series, further showcasing her versatility as a writer. Alongside her creative projects, she is pursuing an MA in Screenwriting at the University of East Anglia, enhancing her expertise and expanding her artistic horizons. Through her dynamic body of work, Katey continues to make a significant impact in the world of theater and film.
