Chad Lail is a prominent American professional wrestler, recognized for his impactful tenure in WWE under the ring name Jaxson Ryker. His journey into the wrestling world began in 2001, following his service in the Iraq War, where he initially performed as Phil Shatter across various independent wrestling circuits.

In 2010, Lail made a significant leap in his career by signing with Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA), adopting the ring persona Gunner. He quickly became a notable figure in the promotion as a member of the notorious faction Immortal, where he captured the TNA Television Championship. After his time with Immortal, he transitioned into both tag team and singles competition, famously teaming with and clashing against James Storm, culminating in their victory for the TNA World Tag Team Championship.

After departing TNA in 2015, Lail's wrestling career took another turn when he joined WWE in 2017. He was initially assigned to NXT, where he rebranded himself as Jaxson Ryker. In 2018, he formed The Forgotten Sons alongside Steve Cutler and Wesley Blake, and the trio made their SmackDown debut in April 2020. However, following the release of his partners, Ryker continued his solo career in WWE until his release in November 2021.
