Esko Nikkari
Esko Nikkari, born on November 23, 1938, in Lapua, Finland, was an esteemed Finnish actor whose career spanned several decades, resulting in over 70 film and television roles. He made his acting debut in 1974 with the film *Karvat*.
Nikkari became a prominent figure in the works of the Kaurismäki brothers, starting with *Rikos ja rangaistus* in 1983 and concluding his collaboration with Aki Kaurismäki in the acclaimed film *Man without a Past* in 2002. He featured in the 1994 movie *Aapo*, sharing the screen with notable actors like Taisto Reimaluoto and Ulla Koivuranta. In his later years, he worked on several projects with director Timo Koivusalo, including his final full-length film, *Kaksipäisen kotkan varjossa*, released in 2005. Nikkari passed away on December 17, 2006, in Seinäjoki, Finland.
