Judd Hamilton, born on February 28, 1942, is a versatile American artist renowned for his work as a singer, musician, band leader, writer, film producer, actor, and inventor. Throughout his musical career, Hamilton has recorded with prestigious labels such as Dolton, Liberty, American International, United Artists, and RCA Victor. His contributions to the California music scene and the surf genre are notable, especially through his participation with the T-Bones and iconic 1960s surf bands like the Avantis and the Ventures.

In the film and television industry, Hamilton has made his mark as an executive producer, credited for projects such as "Maniac," "The Last Horror Film," and the 90-minute TV special "The 7th Annual Sci-Fi Awards." He is the brother of the late Dan Hamilton, known for being part of the successful group Hamilton, Joe Frank & Reynolds, and was previously married to British actress Caroline Munro.

Hamilton's musical journey began in 1960 while he was a freshman at Wenatchee Valley College. He showcased an original song in a talent show, catching the attention of KMEL radio DJ Don Bernier, who facilitated his first recording with The Furys. Their single, "I’m Not Around Anymore," gained traction, reaching the KMEL Top 10. This success prompted Hamilton to leave college for Hollywood, where he initially worked as a roadie for the Ventures. His collaboration with guitarist Bob Bogle led to the release of "On A Night Like This" under the name Shane in 1961, further solidifying his presence in the music industry. In 1963, he recorded the classic "Dream," showcasing his talents alongside the Ventures, which received a four-star rating in Billboard, indicating its commercial potential.
