Mookie Betts
Markus Lynn "Mookie" Betts, born on October 7, 1992, is a prominent American baseball player who currently excels as an outfielder, shortstop, and second baseman for the Los Angeles Dodgers in Major League Baseball (MLB). Betts has earned a remarkable reputation in the sport, being an eight-time All-Star and a seven-time recipient of the Silver Slugger Award. His defensive prowess has been recognized with six Gold Glove Awards, and he made history in 2018 when he was named the American League's Most Valuable Player. Among active position players, he ranks second in Wins Above Replacement (WAR), just behind Mike Trout.
Drafted by the Boston Red Sox in 2011, Betts made his MLB debut in 2014, alternating between second base and the outfield before securing the center field position.
