Atsushi Imaruoka (伊丸岡 篤, Imaruoka Atsushi), born on May 23, 1972, in Isesaki City, Gunma Prefecture, is a well-known Japanese voice actor associated with Mausu Promotion. Imaruoka, who speaks the Joshu dialect, has garnered attention for his versatile voice work and has become a familiar presence in the anime industry.
His journey into the world of voice acting began in 2001 when he enrolled in the Mausu Promotion Actor Training School. By 2003, he officially joined the agency, marking the start of his voice acting career. Prior to this, Imaruoka was a professional boxer, having trained at the Kyoei Boxing Gym. His ambition to pursue acting took shape after he moved to Tokyo post-high school, where he embraced physical training, believing that a strong physique was essential for an actor. This dedication led him to obtain a professional boxing license, and he competed in the ring for three years, debuting at the age of 24.
