Monica Evans, born on June 7, 1940, is a distinguished English actress celebrated for her role as Cecily Pigeon in Neil Simon's iconic play, The Odd Couple. She was a part of the original Broadway cast throughout the show's successful run, later reprising her role in the 1968 film adaptation. Evans continued to embody Cecily in the early television series based on the play, sharing the screen with Carole Shelley, who played her sister Gwendolyn Pigeon.
In addition to her theatrical accomplishments, Evans lent her voice to two beloved Disney animated films. In The Aristocats (1970), she voiced Abigail Gabble, a spirited goose, alongside Shelley, who voiced her sister, Amelia Gabble. Evans also brought to life Maid Marian, a clever vixen, in the classic Robin Hood (1973), once again teaming up with Shelley, who voiced Lady Kluck, her loyal chicken companion.
