Kaarel Karm

Kaarel Karm, born Kaarel Länts on October 18, 1906, in Narva, was a distinguished Estonian actor whose career spanned several decades. He began his artistic journey by studying decoration at the Riigi School of Art and Industry from 1922 to 1925, laying the foundation for his future in the performing arts.

Karm made his stage debut in 1925 at the Estonia Theater, where he showcased his versatility in opera, operetta, and ballet. His talent quickly gained recognition, leading him to join the Estonian Theater from 1932 to 1942 and again from 1943 to 1949. His impact on the theatrical landscape of Estonia was further solidified during his long tenure at the Tallinn Drama Theatre, where he performed from 1942 to 1943 and from 1949 until his retirement in 1979.

Throughout his career, Karm was celebrated for his dynamic performances and ability to captivate audiences, contributing significantly to the cultural fabric of Estonian theater.
