Katrin Pärn
Katrin Pärn, born on May 20, 1977, in Tallinn, Estonia, is a multifaceted talent known for her work as an actress and singer across stage, film, and television. Coming from a distinguished artistic lineage, she is the daughter of the late actor and theatre director Eino Baskin and actress-politician Malle Pärn. She also has an older half-brother, actor Roman Baskin. Katrin completed her primary and secondary education in Tallinn before pursuing her passion for the dramatic arts at the EMA Higher Drama School (now part of the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre), graduating in 2000. She further enhanced her education with a master’s degree in 2008 from the same institution.
Pärn's theatrical career flourished at the Vanemuine Theatre in Tartu from 2000 to 2008, where she showcased her versatility in various roles. Notable performances include Peemont in Mikhail Bulgakov's *The Master and Margarita*, Abigail Williams in Arthur Miller's *The Crucible*, and Lora in Vaino Vahing's *Stars in a Morning Sky*. Her compelling portrayal in the 2010 production of *Ird, K.* earned her a nomination for Best Actress from the Estonian Theatre Union.
In television, Pärn debuted in 2007 on ETV's *Ohtlik lend* and gained recognition with roles in popular series like *Kelgukoerad* (2010), *Viimane võmm* (2014), and *Restart* (2015). Her film career began in 2016 with a notable role in *Õnn tuleb magades*, and she continued to captivate audiences with her performance in the 2017 drama *Mehetapja/Süütu/Vari*.
