Zak Spears
Zak Spears, born Khristofor Lawl Rossianov in Chicago, hails from a German Catholic family that also spent time in Rochester and Minneapolis. He is the youngest of seven siblings, with two older brothers, two older sisters, and a younger brother.
At the age of 12, Spears came out to his family, followed by revealing his sexuality at school when he turned 16. This revelation led to relentless bullying, prompting him to retreat from social interactions. To cope with the pain, he kept a detailed calendar marking the days he faced harassment at school, which became a testament to his struggles.
Seeking refuge from his difficult reality, Spears immersed himself in a fantasy world where he envisioned himself as a more attractive man, inspired by models from magazines like "Playgirl." After high school, he worked as a diesel mechanic in Chicago and Minneapolis, facing discrimination from his blue-collar colleagues.
His life took a pivotal turn when a friend, Joey Morgan, introduced him to the vibrant nightlife at The Saloon in Minneapolis, where he met Chi Chi La Rue. This friendship led to Spears’ debut in the gay adult film industry with "Handjobs 3" in 1993, launching a successful career that continues today.
Although he briefly retired in 1996 after falling in love with fellow performer Matthew Rush, Spears returned to the industry in 2004, having bulked up and evolved his image. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with major studios like Falcon and Colt Studios, becoming known for his natural physique and versatile performances. Outside of filming, he works as a personal trainer and bartends at The Faultline in Los Angeles, cherishing his long-lasting career in a challenging industry.
