Geoffrey Bond Lewis (July 31, 1935 – April 7, 2015) was an esteemed American character actor known for his versatile performances across film and television. His extensive body of work includes notable appearances in popular shows like *Law & Order: Criminal Intent* and *My Name is Earl*. On the big screen, he showcased his talent in films such as *Down in the Valley* with Edward Norton, *The Butcher* featuring Eric Roberts, and *Maverick* alongside Mel Gibson. He also starred in the television movie *When Every Day Was the Fourth of July* with Dean Jones.

One of Lewis's most memorable roles came in 1979 when he portrayed a gravedigger turned vampire in the cult classic *Salem's Lot*.
