Anke Engelke, born in Montreal, Canada in 1965, is a prominent figure in the German entertainment industry, known for her diverse talents as an actress, comedian, and voice artist. Growing up trilingual, Engelke developed a passion for performance early on, gaining experience in dubbing and hosting radio and television shows during her childhood. She gained widespread recognition with her sketch comedy series, *Ladykracher*, which is celebrated as the most successful German sketch format, running for eight successful seasons.

Since the year 2000, Engelke has transitioned into feature films, taking on significant roles in productions such as *Mein Sohn*, *Der Onkel*, and *Mutter*. More recently, she starred in the Netflix series *Das letzte Wort* and participated in the Amazon Prime comedy series *LOL - Last One Laughing*.
