Vanessa del Rio
Vanessa del Rio, born Ana Maria Sanchez on March 31, 1952, is a former American adult film actress. She grew up in Harlem, New York, as the daughter of parents who immigrated from Cuba and Puerto Rico. Del Rio ventured into the adult film industry in 1974, and over the course of approximately 25 years, she featured in more than 100 adult films, in addition to appearing in various music videos, including the notable "Get Money" by Junior M.A.F.I.A.
Although she initially stepped away from the adult film scene in 1986, influenced partly by concerns surrounding the AIDS epidemic at the time, she made a return shortly thereafter and continued her work in the industry until 1999. Even after her retirement from performing, Del Rio has remained involved in adult entertainment through her website and by making special appearances at various award ceremonies and conventions.
In addition to her work in adult films, Del Rio has appeared as herself on several television shows, including a memorable guest spot on "NYPD Blue" in 1996. Her enduring presence in the entertainment world reflects her significant impact on the adult film industry and popular culture.
