His acting journey commenced before he even completed high school, landing a minor role in the film "Gleaming the Cube" alongside Christian Slater. Recognizing his passion for performance, he pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at New York University, graduating with high honors, magna cum laude.

One of Vien's most notable performances came in the television series "Glory Daze," where he portrayed Slosh, a college dropout and friend of Ben Affleck's character.
