Vien Hong

Vien Hong is a talented Chinese-Vietnamese American actor and former martial artist who has made a significant mark in the entertainment industry from his base in Los Angeles. Born in Vietnam, Vien's family fled to Southern California as refugees, where he began to carve out his path in the arts. His acting journey commenced before he even completed high school, landing a minor role in the film "Gleaming the Cube" alongside Christian Slater. Recognizing his passion for performance, he pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at New York University, graduating with high honors, magna cum laude.

One of Vien's most notable performances came in the television series "Glory Daze," where he portrayed Slosh, a college dropout and friend of Ben Affleck's character. His career continued to flourish with guest appearances on popular shows such as "ER," "Sabrina the Teenage Witch," and "The Shield." In addition to acting, Vien honed his martial arts skills, specializing in Wushu and Wing Chun, which added a unique dimension to his performances.

After a 15-year break from acting, Vien made a triumphant return in season five of "This is Us," playing the intriguing character Hai Lang, who shares a mysterious connection with Randall Pearson.
