Wim Opbrouck, born on February 5, 1969, in Bavikhove, a district of Harelbeke, is a prominent Flemish actor and singer celebrated for his dynamic stage presence. He honed his craft at the Herman Teirlinck Studio and began his career with the Blue Monday Company. A standout moment in his early career came in 1997 when he participated in an ambitious 12-hour theater marathon production of "Ten oorlog," a work by playwright Tom Lanoye. Following the merger of his company with the KNS (Royal Dutch Theatre) in Antwerp, he became a key figure at the Drama House, starring in significant productions such as "Aars!", "Leenane Trilogy," "L. King of Pain," and Shakespeare's "Macbeth."

In 2005, Opbrouck joined NTGent, further solidifying his status in the theatrical world. His fame expanded beyond the stage with his engaging appearance in the travel documentary "De bende van Wim," where he rode across Europe on a motorcycle, collaborating with composer Jean Blaute and photographer Michiel Hendryckx.
