Saskia Post

Saskia Post (August 1, 1960 - March 16, 2020) was a prominent actress who made her mark in the Australian film industry, most notably recognized for her pivotal role in the cult classic "Dogs in Space," released in 1986. Born in the United States to Dutch parents, she spent her early years moving between America and Japan before her family settled in Australia in 1975.

Post began her journey in the performing arts by enrolling in a drama and arts degree at the University of New South Wales; however, after a year, she redirected her focus to a full-time program at the Drama Studio, which she completed in 1981. Her television career kicked off shortly thereafter, landing her a significant part as Julianna Sleven, a Dutch refugee, in the beloved series "The Sullivans."

Throughout her career, Saskia showcased her versatility and depth as an actress, becoming a respected figure in Australian cinema and television. Tragically, she passed away at the age of 59 due to complications related to a congenital heart condition, leaving behind a legacy that resonates in the industry.
