Kanako Higuchi

Kanako Higuchi (樋口 可南子, Higuchi Kanako) was born on December 13, 1958, and is a renowned Japanese actress celebrated for her extensive work across various entertainment mediums including film, television, radio dramas, theater, commercials, and voice acting.

Hailing from Kamo, Niigata, Kanako embarked on her acting journey at the age of 20 when she secured her first leading role in the television series Kōrogi-bashi. Over the years, she has built an impressive filmography featuring notable titles such as Hokusai Manga, Bedtime Eyes, Zatoichi (1989), Casshern, Memories of Tomorrow, and Ashura no Jō Blood Gets In Your Eyes.

In addition to her film work, Kanako has made memorable appearances on television, portraying significant characters such as Lady Yodo in the acclaimed 1987 NHK Taiga drama Dokuganryū Masamune and Hanayasha in the 1991 Taiga drama Taiheiki.
