He began his collegiate career at the University of Alabama from 1962 to 1964, playing under the legendary coach Paul "Bear" Bryant and assistant Howard Schnellenberger. Namath made a significant mark in the professional football world, spending most of his tenure in the American Football League (AFL) with the New York Jets, before concluding his career with the NFL's Los Angeles Rams.
