Zahira Ben Ammar

Zahira Ben Ammar is a prominent Tunisian writer, director, and actress, hailing from Tunis. She played a significant role in revitalizing the theater scene in Tunisia since the 1980s, starting her journey with the Triangle Theater Troupe. Over the years, she collaborated with some of the most respected directors in Tunisia and founded her own theater company in 2000, where she both wrote and directed numerous plays. Zahira has also engaged in various theater training programs and has led several theatrical workshops, aligning her efforts with the guidelines set forth by the Ministry of Culture and Heritage Preservation in Tunisia. Her talent and dedication have not gone unnoticed; she was awarded the Best Actress title at the inaugural Carthage Theater Days Festival. Additionally, she received the Prize for Literature and Arts, bestowed by the President of the Republic of Tunisia, recognizing her significant contributions to the arts.
