Mauro Ranallo

Mauro Domenico Ranallo is a prominent Canadian sports commentator, celebrated for his dynamic play-by-play announcing. Currently, he lends his voice to Bellator, a leading organization in mixed martial arts (MMA), while also serving as a boxing announcer for Showtime. His career took off at the tender age of 16, and he is renowned for his theatrical announcing style, characterized by his extensive vocabulary, puns, and vivid metaphors. Over the years, Ranallo has showcased his talents across a diverse range of sports, including Canadian football, ice hockey, professional wrestling, boxing, kickboxing, and MMA.

Ranallo’s extensive experience includes notable roles as a commentator for Pride FC, and he has contributed to major events for Elite XC, Strikeforce, Showtime Championship Boxing, and New Japan Pro-Wrestling on AXS TV, as well as RIZIN broadcasts. In January 2016, he made a significant move to WWE, becoming the lead announcer for SmackDown during its debut on the USA Network. He later announced for the WWE Cruiserweight Classic and joined the NXT broadcast team on June 22, 2017.
