Bill Wyman

Bill Wyman, born William George Perks on October 24, 1936, is a renowned English musician celebrated for his role as the bass guitarist of The Rolling Stones from 1962 until his departure in 1992. Following his time with the iconic rock band, Wyman formed his own group, Bill Wyman's Rhythm Kings, with whom he has toured and recorded since 1997. Beyond performing, Wyman has ventured into music production, contributing to both recordings and film scores across various media.

An avid journal keeper since childhood, Wyman has authored seven books that collectively sold over two million copies, showcasing his storytelling prowess. His passion for the arts extends to photography, with his works displayed in galleries globally. In his youth, financial constraints inspired him to craft a unique fretless bass guitar.

Wyman is also an enthusiastic amateur archaeologist, actively engaging in relic hunting, a hobby highlighted in a letter published by The Times in March 2007. As a successful entrepreneur, Wyman owns several businesses, including the popular Sticky Fingers Café, a rock and roll-themed eatery that first opened in 1989 in Kensington, London, and later expanded to Cambridge and Manchester.
