Derby Romero
Derby Romero, born on June 8, 1990, is a multifaceted Indonesian talent known for his work as an actor, singer, producer, and director, hailing from Batak heritage. His journey into the entertainment industry began at a young age when he worked as an advertising model in newspapers in 1999. This initial exposure paved the way for a successful modeling career.
Romero gained widespread recognition for his acting debut in 2000, portraying the character Sadam in the beloved film *Petualangan Sherina*. His performance marked the beginning of a prominent acting career. In addition to acting, Derby ventured into music, releasing his first solo album titled *Tangguh* in 2002, produced by his father. By 2008, he had formed the duo Duo Derby with Iras Dollaren, and together they released the hit single "Gelora Asmara."
His popularity surged further after starring in the television series *Kepompong* from 2008 to 2009, where he shared the screen with notable actors such as Aryani Fitriana and Mikha Tambayong. Derby also established a music group, Derby and The Revolution, featuring bandmates Iras, Banes, Yudi, and Raul.
