Valerie Edmond

Valerie Edmond, born in 1971, is a prominent Scottish actress known for her compelling performances on stage and screen. She began her professional journey with a notable appearance in *The Sunshine Boys* at the Royal Lyceum Theatre, where she worked under the direction of Maureen Lipman shortly after completing her studies at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. Lipman was so impressed with Edmond's talent that she cast her in a recurring role as her secretary in the television series *Agony Again*, famously describing her as "six foot tall, with the bones of a Slav, the legs of a supermodel and the heart of a small fawn" in her 1995 memoir, *You Can Read Me Like a Book*.
