**Charles Rosenay Biography**

Charles Rosenay, a vibrant resident of New Haven, Connecticut, is a multifaceted talent known for his roles as an entertainer, MC/DJ, producer, actor, impresario, tour organizer, promoter, and haunted house operator. He often marks February 9, 1964, as the pivotal moment in his life, recalling The Beatles' iconic debut on The Ed Sullivan Show as his indelible first memory. Rosenay, born and raised in the Bronx, was influenced by his musically inclined mother, Rose, and his supportive father, Harry. Despite not having siblings and abandoning lessons in accordion and classical guitar, the passion for music remained strong, ultimately leading him to portray Davy Jones in the tribute band MonkeeMania.

Rosenay's journey into the world of Beatles fandom began in the late 1970s after attending a Beatles convention organized by Joe Pope, which sparked his desire to create his own event. In 1978, while still in high school, he launched Liverpool Productions and produced his first Beatles convention in Connecticut. By 1980, he expanded his reach with the publication of his fanzine, "Good Day Sunshine," which became a vital networking tool among fans. Over the next three years, the fanzine gained immense popularity, making it one of the most widely read Beatles publications globally. With consistent demand for conventions both domestically and internationally, Rosenay has solidified his status as one of Connecticut's premier DJ/MC/entertainers, sustaining a successful career for over four decades.
