Rakel Wärmländer
Rakel Wärmländer's artistic journey began at the tender age of nine when she graced the stage in "Kalas i Lönneberga" at Dramaten in Stockholm. At nineteen, she took a bold leap to New York City, where she honed her craft at the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre for a year. Upon her return to Sweden, she joined Teater Galeasen in Stockholm, collaborating with the Darling Desperados company, which was founded by Ulrika Malmgren. In 2006, she proudly graduated from Teaterhögskolan i Malmö.
Wärmländer has primarily made her mark in television and film. Her career includes a notable role as Tina in the 1996 mini-series "Skuggornas hus." She has also appeared in popular shows such as "Cleo," "Skilda världar," and "Spung." Additionally, she was featured in Helena Bergström's film "Se upp för dårarna" and participated in projects like "Hipphipp!," "Itzhaks julevangelium," and the Martin Beck film "Okänd avsändare."
In late 2007, she portrayed the iconic Pippi Longstocking in Jonna Nordenskiöld's play "Pippi Långstrump - världens starkaste" and the character Tessa in "Juloratoriet" at Stockholms Stadsteater. She also lent her voice to Fio in the animated film "Porco Rosso."
Wärmländer starred in the lead role of the Swedish feature film "Love and Lemons" (Swedish: "Små citroner gula"), which premiered on February 20, 2013, alongside her real-life friend Josephine Bornebusch.
