Paul Bisciglia
Paul Bisciglia (30 July 1928 – 18 April 2010) was a prominent French actor known for his extensive contributions to film and television. Bisciglia’s cinematic journey began with his debut in the 1950 film *Trois télégrammes*, where he initially took on uncredited roles. His breakthrough came with a significant part in the drama *Clara de Montargis*, paving the way for a successful career in the 1950s, which included notable performances in the acclaimed film *Avant le déluge* alongside Antoine Balpêtré.
The 1960s marked a turning point for Bisciglia as he transitioned into television, while still appearing in films such as *The Wretches* with Michèle Morgan and *Les vieux de la vieille* with Pierre Fresnay. A milestone in his career was his leading role in Alain Cuniot's *L'or et le plomb* in 1966. His collaboration with director Jean Rollin began with the horror film *La vampire nue* in 1969, leading to further projects like *Requiem pour un vampire* and the cult classic *Les Raisins de la Mort*.
Throughout the 1970s and 1980s, Bisciglia featured in a variety of films, including the Golden Globe-nominated *Les aventures de Rabbi Jacob* and the comedy *L'aile ou la cuisse*. He also lent his voice to several animated films in the *Astérix* series. His prolific career continued until 1999, concluding with *Profil bas* and *Montana Blues*. In addition to his film work, Bisciglia made significant contributions to television, appearing in various series and telefilms from the late 1950s onward.
