Martin Spanjers
Martin Brian Spanjers, born on February 2, 1987, is a talented American actor recognized for his memorable roles in television. He gained fame as Rory Hennessy on the ABC sitcom *8 Simple Rules*, which aired from 2002 to 2005, earning him a Young Artist Award in 2004. He further showcased his acting prowess as Justin in *Good Luck Charlie* from 2010 to 2014.
Originally hailing from Tucson, Arizona, Martin is the son of Frank, a facilities administrator, and Sara, an artist. He has an older brother named Matt, and his paternal grandparents immigrated from the Netherlands to Wisconsin. Early in his career, Spanjers auditioned for the lead role of Malcolm in *Malcolm in the Middle*, landing a guest appearance in the pilot episode instead. His journey continued with a notable role in *8 Simple Rules For Dating My Teenage Daughter*, followed by a guest spot as Davie in *Cold Case*.
In addition to his television work, Martin lent his voice to Sugimura in the English version of the Studio Ghibli film *Whisper of the Heart* in 2006. He also appeared as Randy Randinger in the sports parody *The Comebacks*, released on October 19, 2007. Beyond acting, he has appeared in commercials for brands like Pizza Hut, Sprint Nextel, and T-Mobile. More recently, he featured in a music video for the trio Three Loco, which includes Andy Milonakis, Dirt Nasty, and Riff Raff. Currently, he resides in Los Angeles, California.
