Alejandra Villafañe

Alejandra Villafañe Osorio (October 8, 1989 – October 21, 2023) was a talented Colombian actress, model, and beauty queen, best known for her victory in the Miss Earth Colombia 2014 pageant. This achievement granted her the opportunity to represent Colombia at the Miss Earth 2014 international competition.

Born in Zarzal, Colombia, Villafañe embarked on her pageantry journey by participating in the Señorita Valle preliminaries for the National Beauty Contest in 2013. Although she did not win, her determination led her to a significant breakthrough in 2014 when she claimed the title of Miss Earth Colombia, which was notably held in Armenia, Quindío. Following her win, she traveled to the Philippines in November 2014 to compete against nearly a hundred other contestants in Miss Earth. Villafañe's performance earned her a place among the top 16 semifinalists, although she did not move on to the final rounds, with Jamie Herrell of the Philippines ultimately taking the crown.

In addition to her pageantry, Alejandra made a mark in the entertainment industry, featuring in popular television series such as No olvidarás mi nombre, La ley del corazón, Enfermeras, and Siempre bruja. She also served as the face of Colombia’s Digital Terrestrial Television advertising campaigns for several years. Tragically, Alejandra Villafañe passed away in Bogotá on October 21, 2023, at the age of 34 after a courageous battle with cancer, leaving behind a legacy of talent and inspiration.
