Greg Page
Greg Page, born on January 16, 1972, in Sydney, Australia, is celebrated for his significant contributions to children's entertainment as a founding member of The Wiggles. His early passion for music was complemented by a desire to educate children, prompting him to pursue Early Childhood Education at Macquarie University. Alongside fellow students Anthony Field and Murray Cook, Greg helped establish The Wiggles in 1991, which has since evolved into a global sensation. Throughout his career with the group, he traveled extensively, performing live and producing over 20 CDs and 22 DVDs, resulting in combined sales exceeding 17 million and entertaining more than 4 million fans.
In November 2006, Greg stepped back from performing due to a diagnosis of orthostatic intolerance, a condition affecting the autonomic nervous system. Post-retirement, he embraced new ventures and was honored with an Order of Australia for his contributions to the arts, particularly in children's entertainment and charitable endeavors. Greg enjoys a diverse range of hobbies, including listening to music, playing cricket, exploring computer technologies, and delving into ancient history, religion, and philosophy. He has also taken up meditation to find balance in his life.
In June 2011, he published his autobiography, "Now and Then," co-written with Neil Cadigan, which reflects on his journey, his marriage to Vanessa, and the joys of fatherhood with their daughter Lara and son Cameron. In January 2012, Greg rejoined The Wiggles for a final tour, marking the end of an era for the original lineup.
