At the age of 16, she relocated to Chicago, where she engaged in local theater and television, while also exploring the art of directing. This creative phase led her to produce several short films and music videos, many of which garnered recognition at international film festivals.

By 18, Ellie set her sights on Los Angeles, determined to carve out a career as an actor, writer, and filmmaker. She gained valuable experience working as a production assistant on independent films, all while honing her craft through various acting classes and building a robust resume.

Her diverse body of work includes a notable one-woman show, "Turtle Love," which captivated audiences during its seven-month run at I.O. West Theatre. Additionally, Ellie has appeared in numerous commercials and had roles in acclaimed productions such as TNT's "Southland," FX's "The Bridge," and feature films like "Shiloh Falls," "Death’s Door," and "Watercolors."

Beyond her acting endeavors, Ellie serves as one of the Artistic Directors for The Nursery, a Los Angeles-based organization dedicated to fostering a nurturing artistic community. She is also the lead singer and lyricist for the band Pie, continuously seeking out her next compelling role in the entertainment industry.
